Who We Are!
FIRST Robotics Team 999, the MechaRAMS, are a team of students from Cheshire High School in Cheshire, CT, who are dedicated to take their STEM journey to the next level. Competing in the FIRST Robotics competitions since 2002, The MechaRAMS strive to provide STEM opportunities for students interested in all areas of expertise, from programming, to engineering, to CAD, to build.
Being a part of the MechaRAMS not only gives students opportunities to develop their technical skills but also life skills. They learn how to successfully exchange ideas coming from different technical standpoints, how to handle conflict in a professional manner, compromise, manage time, work in a large, team environment to accomplish one common goal, and good sportsmanship are a few of the many skills each member of the MechaRAMS is exposed to.

MechaRams 2024 – What a great season
The FIRST 2024 Season is in the books. Hard work and dedication pays off. Spending more time with design and troubleshooting, we built one rigid robot this year. Throughout the season this robot has earned us 4 awards based on design and engineering. First year with swerve drive was also a huge success thanks to the programming and electrical team. We are getting stronger.
